    Resumen : The Economy of Ecuador is going through an economic slowdown, consequence of several measures that affected the economy of the country such as: the decrease of public investment and public expenditure Artola, V. (2019), among others. This situation has directly affected the level of employment in the country. Within the universe of unemployed there is 39% of the Ecuadorian population who are between 15 and 24 years of age according to reports from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC); This population has a direct and indirect correlation with the educational centers of the third level of the country. Considering this problem, the socio formative educational model and the employment status have been analyzed through the study of the official figures reported and the activities executed in the application of this model in the city of Ambato. The result was that the model did contribute to the generation of employment.
