dc.description.abstract | The aim of this investigation is to provide an overview of rural tourism development in Galicia during the last two decades, based on revision of legislation and supportive policies that has driven this sector. Considering an empiric overview, an analysis and comparison of supply and demand variables using the data from the Rural Tourism Accommodation Survey of the National Statistics Institute (INE) from 2001–2016 was conducted during two periods: pre-crisis (2001–2007) and the crisis itself (2008–2016).
